ABOUT
I’m Bethan, a passionate filmmaker, photographer, and editor based in Cornwall. Currently, I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Film and TV at Falmouth University, where I’m deeply exploring the art of visual storytelling and media production.

With a first-class degree in TV Production from Falmouth University and a rich background in theatre performance, I’ve built a diverse skill set that's well-suited for the film and TV industry. I believe film and television offer limitless storytelling possibilities, blending striking visuals with relatable characters to forge connections that go beyond the screen.

In my professional life, I wear multiple hats. As a Film & TV teaching assistant at Pauline Quirke Academy, I enjoy guiding young talent aged 5-18 through the complexities of film and television. My previous role as a Comedy & Drama teaching assistant allowed me to dive deeper into performance and directing.

Before university, I trained at a specialist performing arts college in Somerset, where I honed a broad range of skills including acting, scriptwriting, devising, screen acting, rehearsal techniques, musical theatre, site-specific theatre, physical theatre, and children's theatre. This extensive theatre background has profoundly shaped my approach to filmmaking and storytelling.

In addition to teaching, I work as a self-employed photo retoucher for a London-based studio specializing in actors' headshots. My photography experience spans portrait and landscape photography, with a foray into commercial work as well. I’m dedicated to using both photography and filmmaking to craft meaningful and engaging narratives.

One of my major ambitions is to establish a production company that provides showcase films for aspiring performers from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Growing up in a single-parent household and being a first-generation university graduate, I’m committed to bridging the gap between talent and opportunity. My company will offer affordable production services, workshops, and mentorship programs to help young people gain visibility in the performing arts industry.

Whether behind the camera, in the editing suite, or in the classroom, my goal is to create compelling stories that resonate with audiences. I am passionate about crafting narratives that entertain, inspire, and provoke thought.

White & Wolf is a concept I'm working on for a production company that specialises in creating showreel/showcase films for young people who are interested in performing arts but are financially less fortunate than others. Often, it's the more wealthier individuals who are able to sign to talent agencies, due to their families being able to afford to send their kids to extra curricular classes from a young age and have access to resources that others may not. I, myself am from a very under-privileged background and feel as though I was not offered the same opportunities as some of my peers. I grew up in a single-parent household and I am the first person in my family to go to university.
My production company will not only provide high-quality showcase films for aspiring performers, but further down the line, we’ll also offer workshops and mentorship program to help bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. Every young person deserves a chance to pursue their dreams, regardless of their financial background, and I'm committed to making that a reality through my company.
The company aims to collaborate with students and youth groups, offering affordable film production services to help individuals, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, gain exposure in the performing arts industry. To sustainably fund this mission, higher-priced services like wedding videography and advertising production will also be offered. Clients will hopefully find appeal in supporting this cause, as proceeds will fund the production of original short films that individuals will be credited for and be submitted to film festivals.
